Sixteen Teens from Sacred Heart Parish in Winnetka, travel to Sassier, Haiti for a 9-day visit to St. Jean Baptiste Parish, Sacred Heart's Twin Parish in late July. After a 24 hour unplanned delay in Miami, the Teens arrived in Sassier to begin their time of working, praying, sharing and having fun together with teens from Sassier.

When Melissa Mizel and her family moved to Winnetka in 1996, it took almost no time for her neighbors to pop in with warm welcomes. And it wasn't just hot apple pies and colorful fruit baskets they offered; Mizel was invited to be a part of the long-standing Winnetka tradition of neighborhood circles. The Hubbard Woods Circle (of which Mizel is one of 140 members) was formed almost 60 years ago.
